Stranding is one of the important processes in the production of steel wire rope. Steel wire is arranged in a regular spiral shape around the core center line on the twisting machine according to the technical requirements. The structure of the strand is different, the diameter, number and arrangement of the steel wire in the strand are different, and the number of steel wire layers arranged outside the strand core is also different. Generally, one, two, three or more layers of steel wire can be arranged outside the core. According to its cross section shape, the strand can be divided into round strand and shaped strand.
